Media Events Inc., was established in 1989. The company and staff have been involved in the production of well over 10,000 concerts, special events and product activations. The president of Media Events Inc. has been involved in the development of Rockin’ at Riverpoints which led to the creation of WFPK’s Waterfront Wednesdays as well as The KET Broadcasted opening of the Great Lawn, WAMZ Listener Appreciation shows, WDJX Birthday Bash, NPR affiliated “This I Believe” series in Louisville and Chicago, the BB&T Strings Attached Series with the Louisville Orchestra, The Michelob Light New Music Concert Series, The Original Highland Music Festival, U of L Homecoming Concerts and award ceremonies, numerous events at the Louisville Palace and Kentucky Center, The Iroquois Amphitheater Summer Music Series and many more.
The management team is composed of, John Grantz, with assistance from Kirby Adams, Jordan Grantz and Elliott Grantz. They have combined experience of over 70 years in this industry.
John Grantz has been in the event and broadcast and event industries for over 35 years and has managed music events, athletic events, sponsorship sales, management of concessions and branding engagement and activations. His accomplishments include: organizing the opening of each of the Waterfront Developments event areas; orchestrating the grand opening for 100,000 people; creating “Rockin’ at River Points Concert Series”, WFPK’s “Waterfront Wednesday Concert Series” and organizing and implementing concession sales at Louisville Gardens and events at Waterfront Park. He has also been involved in the creation of The Water Tower Art and Blues Festival, Louisville’s Largest Beach Bash and Volleyball Tournaments, assisting The Jefferson County High School Cross Country Championships, founder of Production Simple LLC and former owner and operator of Headliners Music Hall in Louisville, Kentucky.
